Hotels in KL are basically grouped into the Jalan Sultan Ismail / Bukit Bintang / KLCC area, known collectively as the The Golden Triangle or Central Business District. It is also a shopping district.

The KL Sentral or Brickfields area is shaping up to be an important location where a number of upmarket and newer hotels are located and there are also many budget hotels because of its proximity to the transportation hub.
