Info: Opened in 1961, the Church of St Francis Xavier was one of the earliest landmarks in the then fledgling satellite town of Petaling Jaya. From its humble beginnings, the Catholic Church now has 30 Parish Groups and is celebrating its 50th Golden Jubilee from 3rd December 2010 to 3rd December 2011. St Francis Xavier (1506-1552), the church’s patron saint, was the first Jesuit missionary. Current parish priest is Rev Father Simon Yong, S.J.
