Info: The new integrated transport terminal in Bandar Tasik Selatan will begin operations on 1/1/2011. Terminal Bersepadu Selatan-Bandar Tasik Selatan (TBS-BTS) or the Integrated South-Bandar Tasik Selatan Transport Terminal is operated by MAJU Terminal Management and Services (TMAS).
It is located next to the existing Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT Station (Star LRT), the Stesen
Komuter KTM Bandar Tasik Selatan and Express Rail Link (ERL) KLIA Transit Station.
Designated city buses will also call at the station.
Unlike other older terminals, there is a proper external bus holding area to reduce traffic congestion and, importantly, prevent excessive fumes from reaching passengers at the boarding area.
The mammoth white building takes up approximately 49 acres with part of the complex
built over the titular lake. Designed like a modern airport, the bus terminal has six floors, 55 bus platforms, 150 taxi bays, 1,000 parking bays and 1,800 seats in spacious air-conditioned waiting halls. The train stations outside are connected by a long elevated covered walkway with escalators.
South-plying express buses currently operating from the Stesen Bas Sementara Bukit Jalil
(and previously Hentian Puduraya) will make TBS its permanant KL base. The new terminal is located off the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and is also connected by a new road to the Sungai Besi Expressway (SBE).
Update: Effective 16th April 2011, northbound buses will operate from Puduraya again. The same buses will also call at Hentian Duta. The Bukit Jalil Temporary Bus Terminal will be closed.
